By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize is experiencing a countrywide blackout which struck the country just before seven tonight.

“UNPLANNED POWER OUTAGE FOR THE ENTIRE COUNRTY OF BELIZE,” BEL posted at 7:07 pm on Monday night as the country was hit by a nationwide power cut.

“Our teams are currently investigating the cause of unplanned power outage currently affecting the entire country.”

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and patience while we work to rectify as soon as possible,” said the power company
