One person being questioned in multiple shooting incident on Antelope Street Extension

By Aaron Humes: Police believe that one of the five individuals shot on Saturday night around 6:30 was the intended target. They have detained one person for questioning in connection with the incident.

According to ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Officer for the Belize Police Department, Robert Lamb was that target, as the shooter, known only as “Slim”, fired at him first but managed to injure the four others.

Lamb and two others were treated and released from the hospital while Tyrone Teck remains hospitalized in a stable condition.

ASP Yearwood delicately noted that Lamb is known to police and has various “rivalries” on the street and possibly it was one of his direct enemies that took aim at him. Lamb, he added, has come under fire several times in the past two months.

As of this afternoon, no charges had been laid and police investigations continue.
