Prominent Belizean businessman Romel Perdomo dies at the age of 70

By Benjamin Flowers: Well-known Belizean businessman, Romel Perdomo, co-owner of Traveler’s Liquors, has died.

Travelers issued an announcement on its official Facebook page today, saying that Perdomo had passed away at the age of 70.

Perdomo was known to have worked all his life building the company into the iconic Belizean enterprise it is, but will also be fondly remembered by the country’s football community for his love and support of the sport.

Since the announcement of his passing, members of the business community, government officials, prominent Belizeans, and those that knew and loved him have been taking to social media to mourn his loss, celebrate his life, and pay respect to his legacy.
