New cases subsiding to pre-wave levels countrywide

By Aaron Humes: New daily cases in each district are down by a third to two-thirds of what they were even a week ago, according to the latest Ministry of Health and Wellness data.

Mainland Belize District recorded just 86 cases overall, the majority (72) in Belize City, with another 10 in San Pedro.

There were 65 new cases in the Cayo District, including 18 cases in the Twin Towns, 11 in Benque Viejo and 12 in Belmopan and its surrounds.

Up north Orange Walk Town reported 28 of 58 new cases in the District and Corozal Town 18 of 45.

Independence added 17 new cases and Dangriga 7 of 44 overall in the Stann Creek District and Bella Vista (8) and San Antonio (7) both had more cases than Punta Gorda Town’s two for 29 total in the Toledo District.
