Belize city man arraigned for alleged insulting words and damage to neighbor’s property

Posted: Wednesday, February 9, 2022. 4:21 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: A Belize City resident is out on bail after being charged with allegedly insulting his neighbor and smashing her window.

Thirty-three-year-old Rudolph Slusher appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this morning charged with insulting words and damage to property.

He pleaded not guilty on both counts. There was no objection to bail so it was granted to him in the sum of $600 plus one surety of the same.

Slusher is scheduled to return to court in April.

The allegations against him are that on February 2, he called the woman living next to him a “B*tch” and smashed her window valued at $300. Nothing was said in court at this stage about what triggered the alleged outburst.

Slusher is to keep at least 100 yards from the complainant and refrain from interfering with her or any of the prosecution’s witnesses.
