Mayor “satisfied” with documentation on funds for Christmas Cup expenses

By Aaron Humes: Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner has confirmed that Councilor Micah Goodin has provided the documentation asked for by the Council concerning monies provided through him for a sporting event, referred to as the Christmas Cup.

Speaking to LOVE FM, Mayor Wagner said Councilor Goodin, at the Caucus meeting this past Tuesday, delivered the documents and “we are pretty satisfied with the documents that were presented to the Caucus.”

As previously reported, the Council’s Finance Director Amir Carrillo had emailed Councilor Goodin requesting supplementary documents including receipts or cash vouchers totaling the 10-thousand-dollar disbursement for the Christmas Cup football tournament held in December.

Goodin for his part had indicated that he could account for every cent and was gonna present the financial report at the February sitting of the Council.
