Cayo reports the most daily COVID-19 infections going into the weekend

By Benjamin Flowers: The Cayo district has reported the most newly confirmed COVID-19 infections back to back for Thursday and Friday.

Today’s daily report, which confirmed 210 new cases, showed that 67 of them were from Cayo. Belmopan City reported 20 out of the overall number for the Cayo District.

The Belize District had the second-highest total, with 52 new cases, 33 of which were from Belize City.

Stann Creek had 26 cases, Corozal had 22, Toledo had 20, and Orange Walk capped the list today with 19 cases.

Despite the number of new cases, there were no new deaths associated with the virus reported today.
