Digi Valentine’s Cycling Tour coming up on February 19, 20

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Digi Valentine’s Tour is set for February 19 and 20, said the Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB).

CFB President Orson Butler said the Digi Valentine’s Tour starts with a 3.6 miles prologue via John Smith Road from the Airport roundabout at 8 am on Saturday, February 19.

Butler said, “any bike can be used for the prologue”.

The Tour gets really competitive on Saturday afternoon for Stage 2. The Women and Men Juniors/Youth start their 30-mile stage at 1:00 pm on the Bermudian Landing circuit.

The Open Elite/U23/Masters 60-mile stage moves off at 2:30 pm after the Women/Juniors have finished. (60mls)

The third and final stage for the Open Elite/U23/Masters categories comes up on Sunday, February 20, at 10:00 am. The Open Elite/U23/Masters will ride 102 miles starting at Digi Mirab to Hattieville – Data Pro – Faber’s Rd – back to Data Pro and return the same way to finish in front of Digi Mirab.

The Women will do one lap or 51 miles starting at 10:30 am.

The Juniors and Youth riders will also race one lap of the route starting at 10:35 am.
