Breaking: Murder of female reported in Belmopan

By Aaron Humes: A shooting late last night in Belmopan has left one dead and two injured.

According to our colleagues at PLUS TV, reports are that six persons (three males, three females) were traveling in a white van near the vicinity of Blue Moon Restaurant in Belmopan when their vehicle came under heavy fire.

As many as 25 expended shells were recovered from the scene.

One of the females in the vehicle at the time was shot to the head and died on the spot; she has since been identified as Karina Andrews. Two of the men also received minor injuries.

Plus TV reports that it is believed that one of the males was the intended target. Police are investigating.
