San Pedro Pirates beat Wagiya 1-0

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: San Pedro Pirates beat Wagiya 1-0 in a tight game to kick off the second weekend of play in the FFB Top League.

Jesse Smith converted the only goal of the match in the 10th minute of play.

The Pirates now total six points from two wins while Wagiya doesn’t have any yet in two games.

Two more games play today.

Caesar Ridge host subchamps Altitude at MCC Grounds in Belize City on Sunday at 3:30 pm.

Altitude beat Belmopan’s Garden City 2-0 in their first game last week while Caesar Ridge fell 1-0 to the Pirates.

Garden City take on champions Verdes in the final match at the FFB Stadium on Sunday at 6:30 pm.

Entrance is $15 for this match.

Verdes had a superb start last week with a 5-0 whipping of Wagiya.
