Belize Weather: A cool Valentine Monday

The National Meteorological Service says Belize is currently experiencing a cool northerly airflow.

Today will see mostly cloudy skies with a few showers or light rain along the south coast and offshore today, and showers, rain and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the south tonight.

High temperatures along the coast today peak at 77 degrees Fahrenheit; in the interior 78 degrees and in the hills, 68 degrees. Tonight’s low temperatures: 70 degrees along the coast, 64 degrees inland and 57 degrees in the hills.

Winds are north to northwest at 15 to 25 knots and gusty; the sea is rough and a small craft warning is in effect.

Tides will be high at 9:34 this morning and 8:46 this evening and low at 2:32 this afternoon.

Sunset this evening is at 5:54 and the sun rises on Tuesday morning at 6:19.

Tuesday will see showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms over most areas.
