By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) on Monday treated nurses at the Western Regional Hospital with personal care packages.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MPHW) said on social media on Monday that Vice-Chairperson, William Usher, said Monday was “the first day of disbursement of the packages for nurses countrywide for their continued excellent work caring for those they serve”.
The BCCI also presented the Western Regional Hospital with a Certificate of Appreciation “in recognition of your dedicated service in addressing the COVID-19 Pandemic”.
The MOHW said Dr. Franelda Gutierrez, Regional Health Manager for the Western Health Region, thanked the donors. She also applauded “our nurses” for remaining “committed while they continue to work in very stressful times”.
Lizett Bell, Deputy Director of Health in Nursing, was present to share the occasion with the nurses, said the MOHW.
