Belize Weather: Cool, wet Tuesday in forecast

The National Meteorological Service forecasts cloudy to overcast skies today with cool temperatures, showers or light rain over most areas and especially over the coast. Skies tonight will be mostly cloudy with showers over the center and north of Belize.

High temperatures today are 77 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 81 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 74 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 degrees inland and 61 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the northeast at 10 to 20 knots and gusty; sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and rough seas.

Tides will be high at 10:01 this morning and 9:26 this evening and low at 3:13 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:54 this evening and rises at 6:19 Wednesday morning.

The extended forecast for Wednesday is for cloudy skies at times but only isolated showers except in the North.
