Brandon Acosta officially charged for Corozal hit and run

By BBN Staff: Police have officially arrested and charged 21-year-old Brandon Acosta in connection with a hit and run incident in Corozal that left 20-year-old Odiel Tzul hospitalized.

Acosta is facing three charges, one count each of Failed to keep as close as possible to the right side of the road; Drove without due care and attention, and Failed to provide blood specimen.

The incident occurred on the night of February 9, just outside the Corozal Freezone.

Tzul was walking along the road just 300 yards from the Freezone when Acosta hit him with his vehicle from behind.

He kept on driving without stopping to render aid and was later apprehended by police.
