Incidence of new COVID-19 cases rises but number of active cases still falling

By Aaron Humes: Some 172 new cases of COVID-19 were reported today, 22 more than yesterday and 37 more than the day before.

However, with more than twice the number of recoveries at 386, there is a net fall in the number of active cases to 2,650 with 70 samples under investigation.

The percentage of recovered as a subset of the overall case profile has risen above 94 percent and no new deaths were reported, leaving that figure at 633.

Belize has now had 55,975 total cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
