Panama pummel Barbados in Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize’s next opponents in the 2022 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers pounded Barbados 5-0 on Thursday evening.

Playing at home at the Rommel Fernández Stadium in Panama City, the Panama Women’s National Team took 40 minutes before scoring their fisrt goal, but when they did they were merciless against Barbados.

Karla Riley scored a brace In the 45+1’ and 47’. Yomira Pinzón (41’), Laurie Batista (84’), and Katherine Castillo (90’+5) added one each.

Panama now travel to San Salvador as clear favourites to play the Belize Women’s National Team at 3:00 pm on Sunday at the Cuscatlán Stadium.
