Prime Minister John Briceño attends the inauguration of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s new Masjid Noor Mosque

By Benjamin Flowers: Following through with his administration’s statement of respect for religious freedom in Belize, Prime Minister John Briceño attended the inauguration of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s new Masjid Noor Mosque this week.

Briceño attended the event on Wednesday, noting that Belize’s richness lies in the diversity of ethnicities, languages, cultures, and faiths found in the country.

“The group has played a positively influential role in the lives of many of our men and women, harnessing their skills and sporting abilities to build a brotherhood and a community that contributes to Belize’s continued development,” Briceño said.

He noted that Belize has become a safe haven for many offering an opportunity to shape a peaceful life and coexistence among others, shared experiences, shared aspirations, and shared realities.
