BREAKING: Lejean Rhamdas dies after morning shooting

By Aaron Humes: Police have confirmed tonight that 25-year-old Lejean Maurice Rhamdas is dead following a shooting incident this morning on Albert Street.

Rhamdas was inside the compound of the Minds and Hearts Car Wash run by former gang members under a U.S. Embassy initiative when he was shot by one of two unknown men.

This makes Rhamdas the second victim of an attack at one of the community hubs created by the U.S. Embassy, LOVE Foundation and Kolbe Foundation around the city in recent months, following the December 2020 death of Terrence Rhaburn in an armed assault at the St. Martin’s One Stop Auto Care Shop on Partridge Street Extension.

Police investigations continue.
