Canadian publication promotes major tourist attractions of Belize

By Benjamin Flowers: Belize has started 2022 with a massive surge in international exposure, including three big celebrities visiting the country and a number of positive mentions in international publications. Keeping that momentum strong, Canada-based publication “The Globe and Mail” released a travel writing piece today, encouraging travelers to see what Belize has to offer.

The article “Beach, rainforest and ancient wonders await travellers to Belize” written by Tim Johnson, teases readers with a personal account of a breathtaking snorkeling experience in Belize’s pristine waters. Johnson then goes on to let readers know that Belize still has a lot more to offer.

“Central America’s only English-speaking country, less than half the size of Nova Scotia, tiny Belize combines a blue side with a greenside, a sparkling stretch of Caribbean coastline in the east, with a central and western verdant rainforest dotted with archaeological sites that once formed the heart of the Maya civilization,” johnson said.

The article also name drops two Sirenian Bay Resort in Placencia, and the San Ignacio Resort Hotel as recommendations for travelers to stay during their time in Belize, and also noted the convenience of catching a Westjet flight.

Each positive international mention builds on the other to establish Belize as a must-visit destination in the region, and contributes to the recovery efforts locally to rebuild the tourism sector that was ravaged in 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic.
