The Ministry of Education is taking the topic of curriculum reform to the districts.

“The second Curriculum Reform information session is happening now in ancient Chactemal – Corozal Town, with education stakeholders in the area,” said a social media post by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology (MoESCT).

The Education Ministry said the information session was being led by Dr. Louis Zabaneh, MoECST Minister of State. MoECST said Dr. Zabaneh was joined by Senator Elena Smith, President of the Belize National Teacher’s Union and the staff of MoECST’s Curriculum and Assessment Unit.

Smith is an accomplished teacher herself having taught for numerous years at St Ignatius Roman Catholic School in Belize City.

The topic of curriculum reform is a dynamic topic which must be constantly reviewed because education is not stagnant; it’s always evolving.
