Verdes favoured to win over Caesar Ridge in the FFB Top League on Saturday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: FFB Top League defending champions Verdes will host Caesar Ridge on Saturday at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.

The match kicks off at 6:00 pm.

Verdes go in as favourites after winning both games while the Belize City squad have lost their initial two matches.

“It’s on tomorrow Saturday 19th February. Come see your Green Machine in action. We get better every week,” said Verdes in their game promotion.

In the Opening Championship, Verdes routed Caesar Ridge 13-1 in their first encounter but had to work hard in their second match and could only come with a 3-0 win.

Caesar Ridge, however, have improved. Though they lost both matches so far, they have only allowed three goals. What’s worrisome is that they have been unable to score. They are hoping to turn things around and playing up their level against the team that roughed them up in the last championship would boost their possibilities of finishing higher ranked in this tournament.
