501 Valvoline’s Brandon Cattouse takes Digi Valentine’s Cycling Tour 60-mile Stage 2

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: 501 Valvoline Cycling Team’s Brandon Cattouse won the 60-mile Stage 2 of the Digi Valentine’s Cycling Tour in one hour, 48 minutes and one second (1:48:01) in a peloton-finish that saw 32 riders cross the finish line with the same time. Cattouse was also the first Masters.

The stage was a two-lap race on the Bermudian Landing circuit on Saturday afternoon.

The CFB had to resort to a video screening to determine the final positions particularly 2nd and 3rd place with Westrac Alliance’s Jafari Castro edging prologue winner, 501 Valvoline’s Oscar Quiroz. Castro was the first elite as well.

Team Cycology took the next two sports with Brandon Morgan in 4th and Dwayne Wade in 5th.

G-Flow’s Shawn Codd, who finished in sixth place, was the first U23 rider.

C-Ray’s Gabrielle Gabourel won the 30-mile Women’s Stage 2 in 1:35:09 followed by Chavarria/Western Spirits’ Paulita Chavarria in 1:57:24 in second and BFSC’S Fiona Castillo in 1:57:24 as well in third. Gabourel had also won the Stage 1 Prologue earlier on Saturday morning.

C-Ray’s Goran Gabourel won his second stage when he captured the top spot in the Men’s Junior/Youth 30-mile race on the BermudianLanding circuit in 1:28:00. Chavarria/Western Spirits’ Tyler Tejeda finished second in 1:28:06. He was also the first Youth rider. G-Flow’s Renan Codd took third in 1:28:24.
