Active cases of COVID-19 below 2,000 after weekend

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports 177 new cases of COVID-19 over the three-day weekend.

612 persons were reported recovered, reducing the number of active cases to 1,961 with 138 samples under investigation.

The daily positivity rate works out to nearly 6.3 percent and the total is at 11.8 percent while more than 95 percent of patients have recovered.

Four deaths were reported although only one was recorded on the weekend, while the number of hospitalizations is down.
