G-Flow’s Giovanni Lovell takes Digi Valentine’s Cycling Tour Stage 3

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: G-Flow’s Giovanni Lovell won the third and final Stage in the 2022 Digi Valentine’s Cycling Tour but couldn’t take down 501 Valvoline Cycling Club’s Oscar Quiroz who won the Tour overall.

The Open Elite/U23/Masters rode 102 miles starting at Digi Mirab to Hattieville – Data Pro – Faber’s Rd – back to Data Pro and returning the same way to finish in front of Digi Mirab, according to the Cycling Federation of Belize.

Lovell won the final stage in four hours, 16 minutes, and 44 seconds (4:16:44).

501 Valvoline Cycling Team’s Brandon Cattouse, who won the 60-mile Stage 2 of the Digi Valentine’s Cycling Tour, on Saturday was second with the same time. Cattouse was also the first Masters. Westrac Alliance’s Jafari Castro and Eric Trapp were 3rd and 4th with the same time.

Nineteen cyclists rode in together one second behind. They were led by M&M Engineering’s Renan Matus in fifth and Cycology’s Kevin Gentle in sixth. Gentle was the first U23 rider as well.

M&M’s also had the seventh and eighth spots Carroll Devin Azueta leading Roque Matus.

Ninth place was taken by 501 Valvoline’s Derrick Chavarria and tenth by FAL Cycling Team’s Ernesto Bradley.

C-Ray’s Gabrielle Gabourel won the 51-mile Women’s Stage 3 in 2:37:40 followed by Chavarria/Western Spirits’ Paulita Chavarria in 3:26:37 in second and BFSC’S Fiona Castillo in 3:26:45 in third. Gabourel swept the Women’s Category having won the Stage 1 Prologue and the Stage 2 Bermudian Landing circuit on Saturday.

Chavarria/Western Spirits’ Tyler Tejeda finished tops in the Men’s Junior/Youth 51-mile race leading a three-man sprint and finishing in 2:31:25. He was also the first Youth rider. C-Ray’s Goran Gabourel was second and G-Flow’s Renan Codd took third with the same time.
