Police seek public’s assistance in solving murder of elderly Toledo watchman

By BBN Staff: A 75-year-old watchman on a farm in Toledo was shot dead on Sunday, and the Belize Police Department is seeking help from the public to determine who is responsible.

Transito Villalobos was found dead on a farm in Bladen village on Sunday morning. He had apparent gunshot wounds to his body. He had shown up to work as per usual at 5:30 on Saturday evening.

Police say that his death was in the commission of a robbery, as the warehouse of the farm he was watching over was burglarized, and two weed whackers were stolen.

Anyone who has information regarding the incident is urged to call 911,922 or the nearest police station.
