PACT wins Boom to the City Canoe Race

PACT comprised of Amado Cruz, Daniel Cruz, and Jerry Cante won the Boom to City Canoe Race (powered by Guinness) organized by the Belize Canoe Association (BCA) on Sunday, February 20.

PACT clocked two hours, 43 minutes, and 28 seconds (2:43:28) for the Belize River race that went from the Riverside Park in Burrell Boom to Riverside Tavern in Belize City.

Quality Poultry’s team of Efrain Cruz, Edward Cruz, and Hener Cruz finished in second place in 2:43:30

Third place was taken by Guava Limb’s Andres Cabb, Danny Cruz Jr, and Javier Guardado in 2:43:34.

The Black Orchid Sprinters made up of Jesus Linares, Alfonso Lind, and Carlos Linares were fourth in 2:44:10.

Fifth place was grabbed by Clayton Cabb, Roy Cano, and Cristian Lopez of the Lucas Oil team sponsored by Westrac in 2:45:58.

The Vincent Guydis team of Chris Guydis, Bob Vincent took sixth in 2:46:47.

Seventh was the San Ignacio Hotel team of Gustavo Pott, Daniel Lopez, and Michael Moreno in 2:47:27

The first Mixed team, the Western Invadaz/Human Development comprised of Miguel Mangandid, Roxana Lemus, and Brady Aguilar was eighth overall in 2:47:31.

Ninth place was taken by Glenford, Elvis, and Jermaine Sutherland of the Belmopan City Council Young Cutters in 2:47:48.

Tenth was Westline/BDF in 2:58:04. They were second in the Mixed Category.
