Orange Walk COVID-19 patient dies

By Aaron Humes: An Orange Walk man is the 648th person to die from COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

Ministry of Health and Wellness data shows he was fully vaccinated; he is the 19th such person to die since December 1 last year.

Since the year began there have been 49 deaths attributed to COVID-19 – interestingly, that is more than twice as many as the murder count to date.

31 deaths occurred in January and 18 so far have occurred in February although some of them were delayed in reporting.

There have been 70 total deaths from the disease dating back to December 1, 2021.
