By Rubén Morales Iglesias: BEL has postponed “until further notice, power outage previously scheduled to affect portions of the Stann Creek and Toledo District from 8 am to 12 Midday on Friday, February 25,” said the company while apologizing for any inconvenience the postponement may have caused.
The outage was to have affected the following areas: Mayan King, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Roman, Georgetown, Maya Mopan, Red Bank, San Juan, Cowpen, San Pablo, Bella Vista, San Isidro, Mango Walk, Monkey River, Trio, Swasey, and all communities along St. Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway from Swasey to Bladen, including Bladen.
The electricity interruption to install a distribution structure to facilitate the connection of a new area to the grid will now be held at a later date.
