Man shot near car wash in Belize City

By Aaron Humes: There were shooting incidents within minutes of each other around seven this evening, police have confirmed.

In the first, 43-year-old David Tillett was in front of New Look Carpets and Carwash located on Vernon Street, when a person came from Magazine Road from the direction of Ebony Street and fired several shots towards Tillett, injuring him to the lower body.

The shooter thereafter ran towards Magazine Road heading towards Cemetery Road.

Tillett was then assisted by a taxi driver and was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was admitted in a stable condition.

Police investigations continue.
