Belize Weather: Fair day broken up by occasional showers

The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies today with cloudy spells and partly cloudy skies tonight. A few showers will develop mainly along the coast this morning, moving inland by this afternoon before redeveloping along the southern coast tonight and Saturday morning.

High temperatures today will reach 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 88 degrees over inland areas and 77 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 70 degrees inland and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots with choppy sea conditions and waves reaching three to five feet high.

Tides were high at 6:35 this morning. The next tide will be low at 10:23 this morning, followed by high tide at 4:54 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at two minutes to six this evening and sunrise on Saturday morning is at 6:13.

On Saturday expect partly cloudy skies and isolated showers except for southern coastal areas.
