Belize ends February with fewer than 100 new COVID cases on weekend

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness recorded a total of 97 confirmed COVID-19 cases over the weekend, the lowest total for a weekend in months.

With 288 recoveries also reported, the total number of active cases is 1,260 with 115 samples under investigation. That represents a positivity rate of 4.57 percent, under the five percent threshold the Ministry considers necessary to reduce restrictions.

No new deaths were reported and hospitalizations have stabilized, with the percentage of recoveries rising to 96.6 percent.
