Cayo, Toledo lead weekend COVID-19 cases

By Aaron Humes: The Cayo and Toledo Districts reported the most new cases over the three-day weekend with 30 and 23, respectively.

However, Belize City reported the single most cases with ten, followed by Belmopan with nine and Punta Gorda with eight. (One case each was also reported in the Belmopan suburbs of Maya Mopan and Salvapan).

Elsewhere in Cayo, there were six new cases between San Ignacio and Santa Elena and two in Benque Viejo.

The northern districts reported sixteen total cases between them, including five in Orange Walk Town and three in Corozal Town, while Stann Creek reported six new cases including three in Dangriga and one each in Independence and Placencia.
