Belize Weather: March comes in (mostly) like a lamb

The National Meteorological Service cites a northerly influence for continuing mixed skies and occasional showers.

Skies will be sunny today but cloudy in spells and partly cloudy tonight. Showers will develop mainly along southern coastal areas this morning, isolated this afternoon, then mainly along northern and coastal areas tonight.

High temperatures are 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 88 degrees inland and 77 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 72 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 66 degrees inland and 60 degrees in the hills.

Winds are north to northeast at five to 15 knots and sea state is light chop with waves of two to four feet.

Tides will be high at 9:43 this morning and 9:23 this evening and low at 3:01 this afternoon.

Sunset occurs at a minute to six this evening and sunrise on Wednesday is at eleven minutes past six in the morning.

There will be a few coastal showers on Wednesday morning, giving way to fair weather and isolated showers by nightfall.
