COVID-19 cases falling, falling…

By Aaron Humes: March begins with continued positive news on the COVID-19 front.

Some 79 new cases were recorded against 112 recoveries, further reducing the amount of active cases to 1,227 with 62 samples under investigation.

Belize has now passed half a million persons tested – Belizeans and visitors alike – and 56,573 total cases have been confirmed of which 96.6 percent or 54,853 are recovered and 650 are dead.

Eleven persons remain hospitalized and one is in intensive care.
