G Flow’s Shawn Codd won the 92-mile Race 3 organized by the Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) on the George Price Highway and Pine Ridge Road.
Codd clocked 3 hours, 47 minutes, and three seconds (3:47:03). M&M Engineering’s Renan Matus was second at the same time.
The race started at 8:00 am in front of Old Belize, headed West on the George Price Highway to the Georgeville junction, then turned left on the Pine Ridge Road to Blancaneaux Lodge junction, from where it returned to finish one mile from the Georgeville entrance.
M&M Engineering’s Carroll Devin Azueta was third in 3:47:26, 23 seconds after the front two.
G Flow dominated the race capturing five of the Top Ten spots. M& M Engineering got two spots (the second and third place finishes mentioned above) and Westrac Alliance seized three Top Ten spots.
G Flow’s Tevin Chaplin and Giovanni Lovell were fourth and fifth in 3:49:52.
Westrac Alliance was next with Angel Tzib in sixth in 3:50:36.
G Flow’s Renan Codd and Jyven Gonzalez collected seventh and eighth in 3:53:10, while Westrac Alliance closed the Top Ten with Jafari and Wasani Castro ninth and tenth respectively in 3:58:01.
Tzib won the Masters, followed by G Flow’s Gregory Lovell (second) in 4:04:09 and Team Cycology’s Dwayne Wade (third) in 4:08:41.
G Flow’s Renan Codd was the Junior winner. C-Ray’s Goran Gabourel finished second in 3:59:48.
The CFB said upcoming races include the Westrac/M&M Engineering Belmopan Cycling Classic on Sunday, March 13, and the Ernest Meighan Mount Hope Classic on Sunday, March 27.
