New recent low in new COVID-19 cases recorded

By Aaron Humes: Just 43 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded today, the lowest total for a day since the start of the current wave of the pandemic here.

With 139 new recoveries, the number of active cases is down to 1,161 with 145 samples under investigation.

No new deaths were reported but there was a slight rise in hospitalizations.

Recovery numbers continue to improve with the daily positivity a shade under six percent and the national recovery rate up to 96.8 percent.
