Belize Weather: Conditions to steadily improve

Weather conditions are set to gradually improve in the coming hours according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies will be cloudy at times today with a few light showers over some coastal areas this morning, then mostly over central and southern Belize this afternoon before becoming isolated tonight. Skies will be partly cloudy later.

High temperatures will peak along the coast at 83 degrees Fahrenheit; over inland areas at 88 degrees Fahrenheit and in the hills at 72 degrees. Tonight’s low temperatures are 74 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 66 degrees inland and 60 degrees in the hills.

Winds are east to northeast at five to 15 knots and sea state is light chop, with waves of two to four feet.

Tides will be high at 10:45 this morning, then low at 4:45 this evening and high again at 10:54 this evening. The sun will set at a minute to six this evening and rise at 6:09 Friday morning.

Skies will be mainly fair on Friday with little or no rainfall.
