By BBN Staff: The Belize City Magistrate’s Court has ordered that 31-year-old Dennis Cecil Card Jr. undergo a psychiatric evaluation to determine if he is fit to stand trial after he was charged for not wearing his mask properly.
Card was picked up by police and appeared in court today in the presence of his mother. He was picked up after the Magistrate put a warrant out for his arrest for failure to show up to court.
After speaking with Card, the Magistrate ordered the evaluation to which his mother said that she would see that the evaluation is done by taking him to the Port Loyola Poly Clinic.
Card was granted self bail in the sum of $1,000, which he was able to meet.
His case has been adjourned to April 28, 2022, pending the evaluation results.
