PACT wins Belikin Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge Stage I

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Team PACT won the first stage of the 175-mile Belikin La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge Stage I from the Hawkesworth Bridge in San Ignacio to Banana Bank on Friday.

Team PACT is comprised of Amado Cruz, Jerry Cante, and Daniel Cruz sponsored by PACT and Stationery House.

Slim and Trim like Guava Limb (Andres Cabb Jr, Daniel Cruz Jr, and Javier Guardado) finished in second position followed by Belize Coast Guard (Wilberto Daniels, Kenrick Daniels, and Daniel Gregorio) in third place.

Lucas Oil was fourth, Black Orchid Resort fifth, Quality Poultry sixth, and the Young Cutters in seventh.

The Westaan Invaydaz (Roxana Aleman, Miguel Mangandid and Bradley Ayala) took the Mixed Category.

Stage 2 will head from Banana Bank to Double Head Cabbage at 6:30 am on Saturday, March 5.

On Sunday, March 6, the Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge goes from Double Head Cabbage to Henderson Bank in Burrell Boom. The stage starts at 8:00 am.

The last stage will be on Monday, March 7, starting at 9:00 am at Henderson Bank in Burrell Boom to Belize City finishing by the Belize City Centre.
