Minister of Health says no time limits for church services but masks and other restrictions remain

By Aaron Humes: Churchgoers tomorrow, Sunday, may praise their chosen deity for as long as they like, according to Minister of Health Kevin Bernard.

The Minister issued further clarification on social media after the government released the latest COVID-19 public health regulations, SI 37 of 2022 which is a slightly revised version of SI 36.

“As it relates to church services. The SI removed the restrictions that limited church services to an hour only. All Churches can now have their services for as long as they need to. The only conditions are as stated in the SI, whereby attendees must wear face mask, keep the 6 feet distance and have there (sic) … sanitization stations inside…” the Minister wrote.

Churches are also allowed to host weddings and funerals for fully vaccinated persons with the same restrictions.
