Team PACT, comprising Amado Cruz, Jerry Cante, and Daniel Cruz, today won Stage 2 of the Belikin La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge from Banana Bank to Double Head Cabbage in under six hours.
The team sponsored by the Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) won the first stage on Friday in five hours, two minutes, and 23.57 seconds (5:02:23.97).
At 60 miles, Stage 2 is the longest stage in the 175-mile four stage race from San Ignacio to Belize City on the Macal and Belize Rivers.
Slim and Trim like Guava Limb (Andres Cabb Jr, Daniel Cruz Jr, and Javier Guardado) again made it in second place like in Stage One on Friday. They are the leaders in the Family Adventure Category.
As on Friday, the Belize Coast Guard (Wilberto Daniels, Kenrick Daniels, and Daniel Gregorio) took third place again.
Lucas Oil sponsored by Westrac were fourth for a second consecutive day.
The Westaan Invaydaz (Roxana Aleman, Miguel Mangandid and Bradley Ayala) took the Mixed Category.
They were followed by San Iggy.
