Scooter driver killed after crashing into cement bridge

By Aaron Humes: A Yo Creek, Orange Walk District man is dead after apparently crashing his scooter on the Yo Creek Road on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, 27-year-old Abner Magaña was travelling on his black and red Honlei 110 Scooter from the direction of Yo Creek to San Lazaro. Upon reaching a bump near Roxxo he lost control of his scooter and crashed into the cement bridge.

Magaña suffered various degrees of injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk Town. Police investigations continue.
