Belmopan Trojans, One Shot and Falcons win in Ahmadiyya Basketball League’s Belmopan Classic

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belmopan Trojans, One Shot, and Falcons won in Ahmadiyya Basketball League’s Belmopan Classic on Sunday at the Hilltop Court.

According to ABL Commissioner Rodvern Lino, the Belmopan Classic started with an exhibition between U-18 teams in which the Belmopan Trojans beat the Cayo Dream Chasers 33-27. Rashad Neal led the Trojans with ten points while Jayvan Saldano added seven. Zoren Smith topped the Dream Chasers scorers with 12 points. Kenroy Nunez contributed four.

In the U22 Championship, One Shot pumped the Shiesty Ballers 46-21 on 14 points by Ulrick Meighan and eight by Jayden Lopez. Kareem Jenkins and Kevon Vernon scored eight each for the Shiesty Ballers.

In the Open Championship game, the Belize City Falcons dropped Belmopan’s Flight ‘822’ 45-38. Kyron Molina scored a game high 15 for the Falcons while Kevin Hamilton and Justin Wade converted nine points each. Joel Montejo hit ten for Flight ‘822’. Brandon Flowers added eight points.
