Chinese businessman critical due to gunshot wound to the head

By BBN Staff: A Chinese businessman from the Cayo District is receiving critical care at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital due to a gunshot wound he received to the head last night.

Police say they followed up on the reports of a shooting where they found  45-year-old Georgeville Village resident Chung Woeh Huang, at the San Ignacio Community Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

Huang’s mother reported to police that she saw him on an ATV around midnight driving towards the river and decided to follow him. She said that when she arrived at the riverside she found him with the gunshot wound and his licensed .38 revolver was with him.

He was later transferred to the KHMH where he remains in critical condition.

Police are investigating.
