Late night drive-by shooting leaves a 22-year-old-man hospitalized

By BBN Staff: A 22-year-old Belize City resident is receiving treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital following a drive-by shooting late last night.

Police say that Cory Popper was socializing on Bocotora Street along with three other men around midnight when a black, four-door pickup truck drove past and one of the occupants fired several shots at the group. Popper was hit once to the body and transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police are investigating.
