Ladyville resident Damion Blake charged and remanded for the murder of Dijon Foreman

By BBN Staff: A 21-year-old Ladyville resident has been charged for the shooting death of 27-year-old Dijon Foreman.

Damion Blake was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, charged with a single count of murder.

The Court informed Blake that the matter is an indictable offense and as such he could not plea at the Magistrate Court level. There will be a preliminary inquiry to determine if there is enough evidence to determine if he has a case to answer for in the Supreme Court. He was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until May 9.

On the night of Wednesday, March 2, police visited Blake’s home in response to a report of a shooting. At the time Blake told police that someone had tried to kill him.

Police conducted a search in the area and found Foreman dead in Blake’s yard.
