By BBN Staff: A man was shot in Belize City last night.

The victim, since identified as Carrel Sanchez, was reportedly in an alley in the vicinity of Logwood Street, when an unknown attacker fired several shots at him, hitting him to the body.

Sanchez was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment, where it is said that he died of his injuries soon after.

Police are investigating.
