COVID-19 daily cases slow to a trickle

By Aaron Humes: Just 24 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported countrywide today, against 119 new recoveries for a daily positivity rate of under three percent.

In all, there are 622 active cases with another 71 under investigation.

No new deaths were reported – indeed, none have so far been reported in the month of March – and the number of hospitalizations remains in single digits.

As Belize approaches the two-year mark of the pandemic here, some 56,976 have been infected; of which 55, 658 have recovered and 652 have died.
