The Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change, and Disaster Risk Management announced on Wednesday that Anthony Mai is the new Chief Environmental Officer of the Department of the Environment.
The Ministry said in a press release that Mai has worked at the Department of the Environment for more than 15 years, most recently as the senior environmental officer.
“His combination of experience and academic qualifications is expected to aid in bridging the environment-development nexus in Belize,” said the Ministry.
Mai holds a graduate degree in Sustainable Development from Galen University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Belize.
