As outrage rises, Police seek parents of child seen on video allegedly drinking rum

By Aaron Humes: Commissioner of Police Chester Williams has put out an alert on social media to find the parents and child seen on a viral video.

The child is seen holding a bottle containing what appears to be a clear liquid believed to be rum. The voice of an adult male, believed to be his father, is heard encouraging him.

“This is an outright case of child abuse and or neglect that cannot be countenanced. This clearly shows that some among us have certainly lost their sense of humanity, caring and nurturing of our children,” the Commissioner wrote.

He continued, “The fabric of our society is certainly in need of repair and it must start from within the homes.”

The Department of Human Services under the Ministry of Human Development has also opened an investigation and is also trying to find the child and his parents
